About

What is Carbon Footprint Europe

Carbon Footprint Europe (CFE) is the European program dedicated to communicating the results of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission quantification, and associated reductions, for products and organizations. To participate in the Program, organizations and products must hold a third-party accredited opinion regarding the quantification of their GHG emissions (at the product and/or organizational level) and/or the reduction of said emissions. Registration with CFE enables the use of specific communication labels, differentiated according to the three modes of participation (organization, product, and reduction), which are directly linked to the registration record via a QR code. This allows for the simple, rapid, and effective communication of Carbon Management outcomes, using a tool that aligns with the latest regulations on environmental communication. Furthermore, Carbon Footprint Europe is part of the Carbon Footprint International Alliance, an international network of program operators collaborating to implement harmonized approaches based on shared methodologies, with the aim of achieving greater global integration and recognition of the labels.
